Why make a profile?
You can play every run as a guest, and plenty of people do. A profile adds a name to your progress, so your lifetime points, best run and badges belong to you rather than to whoever picks up the phone next. It also lets several people share one device without mixing their scores.
What we store, and where
- Your player name and the jewel you chose, shown in the header and on your card.
- Your PIN, kept only as a salted SHA-256 fingerprint, never as the digits themselves.
- Your totals: runs played, lifetime points, best run, longest cascade and badges.
All of it sits in this browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded, which is why the profile does not follow you to another device. The full picture is in our privacy policy.
Choosing your jewel
The six jewels each have their own shape: the six-sided Topaz, round Sapphire, diamond-shaped Ruby, octagonal Emerald, triangular Amethyst and star-shaped Pearl. Your pick appears next to your name, so on a shared tablet everyone can spot their profile in a glance.
Register questions
Does registering cost anything?
No. A profile is free and so is every run you play with it.
What happens to the points I scored as a guest?
They move into your new profile the moment you register, together with any badges, and the guest slot starts again from zero.
Which names are allowed?
Three to sixteen characters: letters, numbers, spaces, dots, dashes and underscores. Each name can exist once per browser.
Can I change my name or jewel later?
Not at the moment. You can delete the profile from the login page and register again, but that also deletes its points.
